NIO Phone, the smartphone from Chinese electric vehicle brand, was first launched in September 2023, and has recently been upgraded to a new model. It shares the same design as the original version and is therefore called the New NIO Phone instead of NIO Phone 2.
The NIO Phone 2 comes in 6 color options that match the color tones of NIO cars, with 3 versions using different materials: the Performance Edition in Space Blue / Moonlight Silver, the Flagship Edition in Pine Green / Golden Sand Rice / Nebula Red, and the limited edition EPedition, which features a Nano Microcrystalline ceramic back that showcases luxury watch manufacturing technology through superior polishing and carving processes. It is also rated for water resistance at IP68.
The NIO Phone 2 features a 6.82-inch AMOLED display with a color depth of 16.7 million colors, a resolution of 3168 x 1440 pixels, a pixel density of 510 ppi (pixels per inch), an aspect ratio of 19.8:9, a screen-to-body ratio of 93.06%, and a refresh rate of 1-120Hz. Its maximum brightness is 2600 nits, and the screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
In terms of performance, the new NIO Phone uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor (the previous model used the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip), with RAM options of 12GB / 16GB (LPDDR5X) and storage options of 512GB / 1TB (UFS 4.0). The battery capacity is 5020mAh, supporting 80W fast charging, 50W wireless fast charging, and 10W Wireless Reverse Charging for charging other devices wirelessly.
The camera department of NIO Phone 2 consists of a main camera of 48 megapixels with an f/1.68 aperture, an Ultra Wide camera of 48 megapixels with an f/2.25 aperture, and a Telephoto camera of 50 megapixels with an f/2.6 aperture, along with a 12 megapixel selfie camera.
