Title: Hamas Leader Stands Firm in Refusal of Ceasefire
It’s been a month since the ceasefire collapsed, and the Hamas leadership continues to refuse any exchange deal, even at the price of a truce. At first, it seemed like a tactical move to gain advantage, but it has become clear that it is now the policy of the organization.
Behind this policy stands Yahya Sinwar himself. He considers the picture of the battle and the political situation and believes he has the upper hand. Sinwar knows that he has the upper hand, and therefore, a victory for him is not to defeat the IDF, but to survive.
The UN officials are not at all interested in searching for the truth and Al-Aaruri was interviewed and threatened Israel before October 7.
The Saudi newspaper “A-Sharq” this week published the main points of three letters that Sinwar sent to his friends in the leadership of Hamas abroad. In the first letter, he wrote that Hamas would not agree to a temporary ceasefire, and that its goal was a complete and total cessation of fire.
The Hamas leadership feels they have strong international support and portrays Israel as the aggressor. Osama Hamdan, a member of the political bureau of Hamas, called Israel “neo-Nazi”.

The tanks, infantry fighters and the air force are destroying the fighting force of Hamas, but they continue to fight and manage to inflict casualties on the IDF.
If you see an Israeli official with authority disparaging Sinwar – turn your back on him. Not for Sinwar but for our sake. So that we learn. The underestimation of his command skills, creativity, and boldness gave rise to the lightheadedness of October 7. This disdain was the lot of the entire avenue, from the most junior intelligence officer in the Southern Command to the government table in Jerusalem. As they despised Sadat, they also laughed at him. His end that laughed at us all.
It is clear that the situation is complex and ongoing, and the Hamas leadership’s refusal of a ceasefire represents a significant challenge for both Israel and international peace efforts.
