INFOGRAPHICS – The disruptions will begin on June 14 and will last until early September. A total of 5 RER lines, 6 train lines, 7 metro lines and 2 tram lines will be affected.
From mid-June until early September, numerous works will disrupt public transport in the Paris region. “ In total, 4.8 billion euros are invested in public transport in the Ile-de-France region this year. Work will begin on June 14 on line J, with the cessation of train traffic, in the evening, between Paris Saint-Lazare and Mantes-la-Jolie. Metro line 14 will be closed between Châtelet and Olympiades stations during the month of August, like Stalingrad station, from July 4 to October 14 on line 2. RER A and B will also be severely disrupted from the mid-July.
Works on 5 RER lines
The line will be closed between Auber and La Défense stations from August 13 to 19 inclusive. The work will enable the commissioning of a new signaling post at Charles de Gaulle-Étoile. Line 1 will be used to cross the interrupted zone between La Défense and Châtelet-les-Halles, while serving the Charles de Gaulle-Étoile station. As for travelers from the Saint-Germain-en-Laye / Cergy / Poissy branches to Auber, they can use: either the L Nord line running from Cergy–Le Haut to Paris–Saint-Lazare, or the L Sud line from La Defense in Paris–Saint-Lazare.
Disruptions are also to be expected on the weekends of July 9-10, July 16-17, August 6-7 and August 13-14. On these dates, no train will run in both directions between the stations of Nanterre Préfecture and Cergy le Haut and Nanterre Préfecture and Poissy, due to the renewal of switches and crossings at Sartrouville station. Travelers from the Cergy / Poissy branches can take line L North between Paris–Saint-Lazare and Houilles or line J between Paris–Saint-Lazare and Conflans-Fin d’Oise. To continue the route, substitute buses will be set up between Houilles Carrières-sur-Seine and Poissy and rail shuttles will run between Poissy and Cergy-Le Haut. Travelers from Poissy will also be able to use the RER A from Saint-Germain-en-Laye by going there with the 24 bus which will be reinforced.

Finally, no train will run in both directions between Cergy le Haut and Achères Ville on the weekend of July 23-24. A replacement bus service will be set up as well as reinforcements on regular bus lines.
The line will be closed between Les Baconnets and Massy-Palaiseau from July 16 to August 18. Substitute buses will allow users to travel on this section. Until August 28, Port-Royal station will be closed in both directions of traffic, due to work to bring the platforms up to standard for the arrival of new trains in 2025. Also note, Croix-Berny station will be closed on the weekends of August 13-14 and August 20-21 to allow better accessibility for people in wheelchairs. As far as the north of the line is concerned, no train will run in both directions between the Paris Nord stations and Charles-de-Gaulle 2 Airport, Aulnay-sous-Bois and Mitry-Claye on the weekends of the 2 -July 3 and August 13-14. A replacement bus service will be set up between the Stade de France, Saint-Denis, Aulnay-sous-Bois, Mitry-Claye and CDG Airport stations.
No train will run in both directions between the stations of Musée d’Orsay and Pontoise, Musée d’Orsay and Versailles Château Rive Gauche / Saint-Quentin en Yvelines as well as between the stations of Massy Palaiseau and Pont de Rungis du 15 Juillet to August 20. This work will enable the modernization and renovation of infrastructures to improve the reliability of the line, and in particular the renewal of the Chartres and Gallardon bridges.
The RER D will also experience several disruptions, in particular the interruption of train traffic in both directions from July 18 to August 26 between Juvisy and Corbeil Essonnes via Evry-Courcouronnes during off-peak hours. Trains will run during peak hours in the direction of Paris in the morning and in the direction of Corbeil Essonnes in the evening. A replacement bus service will be set up between Juvisy and Corbeil Essonnes. From July 4 to September 2, during the week, all stops between Paris Gare de Lyon underground and Villeneuve Saint-Georges will be canceled, except Maisons-Alfort, from 11:07 p.m. on departure from Paris.
The trains will have Paris Est as their terminus from July 18 to August 22 inclusive. Train frequency will be reduced during peak hours.

Disruptions on 7 metro lines
On the metro side, the main disruptions will concern lines 14, 13, 2, 3, 4, 10 and 11.
Line 14 will be interrupted several times this summer. The line will be completely closed until July 27 from Sunday to Wednesday evening from 10 p.m., except June 21 and July 13. Sundays will also be very affected: on June 19, July 3 and 31, the line will be completely closed until 12 p.m. as well as on August 14 and 21 until 4 p.m. Finally, the line will be closed between Châtelet and Olympiades stations from midday July 31 to August 21. Buses will be set up between Gare de Lyon and Olympiades.
Due to interconnection works with the Grand Paris Express, the ligne 13 will be closed between Porte de Vanves and Châtillon Montrouge in the evening from midnight on June 22 and 23, June 27 to 30, August 22 to 25 and August 29 and 30.
About the ligne 2Stalingrad station will be closed from July 4 to October 14, in order to replace two metal staircases and the glass roof.
As for the ligne 3, metros will not run between Gambetta and Gallieni stations from July 14 to 19. Substitute buses will be put in place.
The ligne 4 will be closed from Monday to Thursday inclusive until September 30 from 10:15 p.m., except on July 13 and 14 and August 15. The line will also be closed all summer every Sunday morning until 12 noon, except August 14. Finally, the line will be completely closed on Sundays June 12 and July 10, due to modernization works.
Work will also lead to the closure of the ligne 10 between Duroc and Boulogne-Porte de Saint-Cloud stations from June 27 to July 3. Replacement shuttles will be put in place.
About the ligne 11, the platform at the Porte des Lilas station in the direction of Châtelet only, will not be served to passengers, from June 25 to September 2.

Tramway: 2 lines disrupted
The tram line 1 will also experience its share of disruptions as part of its modernization. Various stations will be closed: Stade Géo André until August 9, Drancy-Avenir until October 10 and Saint-Denis Basilica from June 8 to the end of August. Also note: the line will be closed between Asnières-Quatre Routes and Hôpital Delafontaine stations from June 20 to August 31, and between Asnières-Quatre Routes and La Courneuve-Six Routes from July 13 to August 24. Substitute buses running at the same times as the trams will be put in place.
Regarding the tram line 8it will be interrupted between the Paul Éluard and Saint-Denis-Gare stations from June 22 to July 6 and from July 28 to 30 inclusive.
EOLE works and disruptions for commuter trains
On the J-line, preparatory infrastructure work for the arrival of the new trains will take place in Rosny-sur-Seine and Bonnières-sur-Seine. Therefore, from July 2 to August 28, no train will run in both directions between Épône Mézières and Mantes-la-Jolie. On the weekend of July 2 and 3, the Paris Saint-Lazare Mantes-la-Jolie section of the line will end in Les Mureaux. Bus services will be set up on these two axes.
No train will run in both directions between Saint-Cloud and La Défense in the evening, on the L-line. A replacement bus service will also be put in place. The reason for these disturbances: the EOLE project. This consists of extending the current RER line E by 55 km westward and includes several areas for improving traffic, in particular 47 km of redevelopment of the existing track to Mantes-la-Jolie.
Regarding the ligne H, modernization works will take place throughout the summer in Persan. From August 6 to 21, no train will run in both directions between Creil and Pontoise. From August 6 to 15 and the weekend of August 20-21, traffic will be interrupted in both directions between Persan Beaumont and Montsoult Maffliers. Substitute buses will be offered.
As for the K-line, trains will run in both directions, only between Crépy-en-Valois and Mitry-Claye, from July 9 to August 15. A change of train will then be necessary with the RER B at Mitry-Claye.
Finally, the N lines and P will also be disrupted. From July 2 to August 28, no train will run between Plaisir and Mantes-la-Jolie. On the weekends of July 30 and 31, and August 6 and 7 in particular, no trains will run to Château-Thierry. Trains to Meaux will be limited to Lagny Thorigny and no trains will run to Esbly. A substitute bus service will be made available.
