64th Day of War: Two IDF Soldiers Seriously Injured in Rescue Attempt in Gaza Strip

The 64th day of the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip saw two IDF soldiers seriously injured during a rescue mission on Friday night. According to the IDF spokesman, the soldiers were attempting to rescue hostages when they were injured.

Defense Minister Yoav Galant commented on the situation, stating that Israel “sees signs of a break in Gaza.” He also mentioned that more and more terrorists are surrendering to IDF forces. Alarms sounded in Gush Dan at noon, but no casualties were reported. In the Galil finger, alarms were activated due to the intrusion of a hostile pilot craft, which was successfully intercepted.

The UN Security Council held an urgent discussion on the war in Gaza and voted on Resolution 99, which called for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire. Despite about 100 countries calling for the adoption of the United Arab Emirates’ proposal for an immediate ceasefire, the US vetoed it and the proposal failed to pass.

The live coverage of the events has now ended. Stay tuned for further updates on the situation in the Gaza Strip.
