Inclement Weather Forces Schedule Changes for Little League Baseball® Region Tournaments

In light of the severe weather conditions affecting the tournament locations, Little League International has made some important updates to the tournament schedule for the remaining semifinals and finals of the Little League Baseball® Region Tournaments. The organization’s main goal is to ensure that the teams have the best playing conditions and unforgettable experiences during the tournament.

The revised schedule, effective Thursday, August 10, 2023, features several changes to accommodate the weather-related challenges. All times mentioned are Eastern Time.

The day will kick off with a new matchup at 11 a.m. (ESPN 2), featuring the Mid-Atlantic Semifinal game between Delaware and Washington, D.C. This exciting game will take place in Bristol, Connecticut.

Immediately after, at 1 p.m. (ESPN 2), the Midwest Semifinal will take place between North Dakota and Iowa in Whitestown, Indiana. Simultaneously, another Semifinal game – the LLSWS Semifinal – will bring North Carolina Region against Southwest Region in Greenville, North Carolina. This game will be broadcasted on ESPN 1.

Another new addition to the schedule takes place at 3 p.m. (ESPN 1) with the Mountain Semifinal game featuring Montana against Utah. This game will happen in San Bernardino, California.

At 5 p.m., the LLSWS Semifinal match between the Mid-Atlantic Region and Latin America Region will be played in Greenville, North Carolina. This game will be broadcasted on ESPN 1.

The Great Lakes Championship will be held at 5 p.m., this time on ESPN 2. The game will witness Illinois facing off against Ohio in Whitestown, Indiana.

As the evening progresses, at 7 p.m., the New England Championship will be contested between Maine and Massachusetts, taking place in Bristol, Connecticut. This game will be shown on ESPN 1.

The night will conclude with the Northwest Championship at 9 p.m. in San Bernardino, California. Alaska and Washington will battle it out for the title. The game will be broadcasted on ESPN 1.
