Wearbotics (Co-CEOs Yeonbaek Lee and Yongjae Kim), a leading wearable robot company, will participate in ‘CES 2025’, the world’s largest home appliance and IT exhibition held in Las Vegas, USA, and introduce its wearable robot ‘We Innovate Mobility (WIM)’.

WIM has won the CES Innovation Award in the Robotics field for two consecutive years since 2024, and Wibotics plans to begin entering the U.S. market with participation in this CES.

Wim has solidified its position in the wearable robot market by selling more than 400 units in just six months after its domestic launch in 2024. Wim provides walking assistance solutions suitable for a variety of consumer groups, including young people who want to improve their walking health, older people who want to improve their walking ability, and sanitation workers and National Park Service rangers who must continue to walk intensively for work. .

Wim, which uses single actuator technology, is manufactured with a light weight of 1.6kg by optimizing the symmetrical auxiliary frame structure with a single motor, and anyone can easily attach and detach it within 30 seconds. According to the company, as a result of the 4-week Wim exercise program conducted for 7080 elderly people in 2023, 78% of participants improved physical functions such as walking speed, endurance, and hip and ankle strength. These effects prove the value of Wim as a lower body strength strengthening solution that can be used by various generations, from young to old.

In addition, Wim provides personalized walking solutions by analyzing the user’s gait based on AI and big data linked to a dedicated mobile app. Wim has a variety of functions, including assistance mode, exercise mode, mountaineering mode (uphill/downhill), and slow walking mode, and each mode can be adjusted to 3 levels of intensity. Users can maximize the effect through Wim’s various modes according to their usage patterns.

Since the launch of Wim in 2024, Upobotics has been carrying out experiential marketing activities nationwide, such as holding a Wim seminar for senior sports officials in Cheonan City and holding an experiential pop-up store in Busan with the concept of ‘walking trails together’. Through this, the company is carrying out its mission to expand consumer contact points with wearable robots and improve the quality of life through technology.

In addition, the company opened the ‘WIM Walking Exercise Center’, a wearable robot walking center, to help make wearable robots a part of everyday life. The Wim Walking Exercise Center, which opened in March 2024, has been visited by about 1,000 people for a 1:1 experience in the eight months since opening, and provides an opportunity for consumers to experience the product in person before purchasing Wim. The center also operates a 1:1 customized exercise program using Wim under the guidance of experts.

Wim Botics Co-CEO Lee Yeon-baek said, “After the launch of Wim in 2024, Wim Botics has conducted various experience events to approach the public as a friendly wearable robot,” and “By entering the global market in 2025, we will introduce Wim’s innovative products to consumers around the world. “We are happy to be able to introduce a walking solution.” He added, “We will continue to strive to improve the quality of life by developing wearable robots naturally into the daily lives of various users through the development of people-centered technology.”
