Word Walls is a project of the Tourism Innovation Center of Sierra Norte of Madrid that aims to revitalizing the countryside through urban art.
This project, which is coming the recognition value of the area Promoting the dialogue between urban art, cultural identity and nature, will feature the participation of 31 artists who will create a total of 42 murals, one for each district of the Sierra Norte of Madrid. The project has started with the Sojo mural in Horcajo de la Sierra, which has already been completed. This week, the first actors have started working in Madarcos (Virginia Bersabé); The Acebeda (Emilio Cerezo); Robregordo (Eva Mena); Montejo (Sojo) and Somosierra (Sake).
Their portraits, inspired by the history, culture and/or landscape of each region, will be done during the months of September and October in:
9-13/09: Madarcos (Virginia Bersabé); The Acebeda (Emilio Cerezo); Robregordo (Eva Mena); Montejo (Sojo); We see (Sake)

The Word Walls project has been fully financed by Generation Next – EU Funds from the European Union awarded to the Valle Norte del Lozoya Works Group within the Tourism Stop Program. 14 actions to beautify historical institutions.
