Urban Local Government Election – Chennai Corporation with the lowest turnout

In the local government elections held in Tamil Nadu, the lowest number of votes have been registered in the Chennai corporations.

Karur has the highest turnout of 75.84 per cent.

The lowest turnout was 43.59 per cent in Chennai.

Vellore Corporation recorded 65.50 per cent votes, Salem Corporation 64.36 per cent votes and Thanjavur Corporation 62.45 per cent votes.

Tiruvallur Corporation recorded 59.13 per cent votes, Thoothukudi Corporation 59.11 per cent votes and Trichy Corporation 57.25 per cent votes.

55.40 per cent votes in Tirupur Corporation

Chengalpattu Corporation recorded 49.98 per cent votes and Coimbatore 53.61 per cent votes.

Cuddalore recorded 68.19 per cent votes, Dindigul 64.01 per cent and Erode 61.91 per cent.

Kanchipuram Corporation got 64.25 per cent votes, Kanyakumari Corporation got 60.94 per cent votes and Krishnagiri Corporation got 63.97 per cent votes.

According to the Election Commission, 53.99 percent of the votes were cast in the Madurai Corporation.
