Urination case: Air India fined Rs 30 lakh, India News

New Delhi: The Civil Aviation Authority of India (DGCA) has imposed a fine of Rs 30 lakh (S$49,000) on Air India over a drunken man who urinated on a female passenger on a New York-to-Delhi flight.

The pilot’s license has been suspended for three months.

Also, Air India’s director of passenger services was fined Rs 3 lakh for dereliction of duty.

Earlier, Shankar Mishra, who urinated on a female passenger, was banned from flying for four months on Thursday.

Mishra had already been banned from flying for 30 days in connection with the incident on November 26 last year.

Six months after the incident, on the 6th of this month, the Delhi Police arrested Mishra.
