The capital of Botswana, Gaborone, hosted ten days ago the 15th “US-Africa Business Summit”, a business summit between the United States and Africa. The Biden administration indeed intended to reconnect with Africa, 7 months ago, during the Washington summit. But one of the points that remains unresolved is the future of Agoa. the African Growth and Opportunity Act is due to expire in 2025 and it is not yet certain that it will be renewed identically.
