US-Australia: Biden meets Albanian PM, focus on Indo-Pacific and security

Washington, 21 set 02:30 – (Agenzia Nova) – US President Joe Biden met with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese at his residence in Wilmington, Delaware. The US president, according to a statement, reaffirmed the strategic partnership between the two countries. The two leaders welcomed the strengthening of bilateral cooperation in the fields of defense, security, economy, energy transition and combating climate change. The two also underlined their respective commitment to working with the United Kingdom in the framework of the Aukus format, to ensure freedom and development of the Indo-Pacific. Particular attention was paid to the need to maintain stability in the Taiwan Strait, as well as the future of assistance to Ukraine and negotiations for a truce in the Gaza Strip.
