With former U.S. President Jimmy Carter passing away at the age of 100, the U.S. Embassy in Korea has created a space for mourners to write a guestbook.
The U.S. Embassy in Korea announced that it is possible to write a memorial guestbook at the American Diplomacy House located in Yongsan-gu, Seoul.
Visiting hours are 2-4 PM on the 2nd, 9-11 AM and 1-4 PM on the 3rd, and 9-11 AM and 1-4 PM on the 7th.
A valid government-issued photo ID is required for entry. However, large electronic devices cannot be brought in.
Those who are unable to visit in person can send condolences to [email protected].
Former President Carter died at his home in Plains, Georgia around 3:45 pm on the 29th of last month (local time). Afterwards, US President Joe Biden declared the 9th as a day of national mourning.
Meanwhile, our government expressed condolences on the passing of former President Carter and sent a condolence in the name of Acting President Choi Sang-mok, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Strategy and Finance.
