US: “If Iran does not return to nuclear talks we will look at all options”

by time news

U.S. Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin, He said today (Saturday) at the security conference in Manama, the capital of Bahrain, that the US will prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons and fight its “dangerous use” of unmanned aerial vehicles.

The United States remains committed to preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. “We remain committed to a diplomatic solution to the nuclear issue,” Austin said at an event hosted by the International Institute for Strategic Studies. Austin’s remarks come just nine days before the resumption of nuclear talks in Vienna.

Iran has set new conditions for the resumption of nuclear talks, and its Foreign Ministry spokesman Said Khatibzadeh clarified that “the way back to the agreement is clear – the United States should remove all its sanctions against Iran at once, in a procedure that can be verified.”

The spokesman added that continuing talks to return to the nuclear deal signed in 2015 “obliges the US to take mitigating measures.”
