An American journalist jailed in Myanmar has been released after six months.

Myanmar was overthrown by the military on February 1. It also arrested and imprisoned key leaders, including the country’s leader, Aung San Suu Kyi.
This was followed by a massive uprising against the military regime. Meanwhile, the military arrested and imprisoned various journalists operating in Myanmar when it seized power. On May 24, the military arrested Danny Penster, a U.S. citizen who ran an online newspaper called Fontier Myanmar.
Danny has been accused of publishing fake and hateful news and violating visa procedures.
Following this he was imprisoned in Yangon. Further, the allegations against him were being heard in a military court. A military court has ruled in the past few days that Danny was found guilty at the trial. He was also sentenced to 11 years in prison.
Meanwhile, his relatives have called on the US government to release Danny, who was jailed in Myanmar and sentenced to 11 years in prison. Following this, the United States held talks with the military-ruled Myanmar regime.
Danny was released from prison today after 6 months as a result of negotiations. Thus, Danny escaped the sentence of 11 years imprisonment. Danny, who was released from a Myanmar prison, is currently flying to the United States. Danny is going to America to meet his family members soon.
