According to news site Walla, President Biden’s administration is preparing to impose sanctions on the IDF‘s Netzach Yehuda Battalion over alleged human rights violations against Palestinian Arabs in Judea and Samaria.

“The Times Of Israel” writes about this.

This will be the first time the US has taken such measures against an IDF military unit. According to US sources, the sanctions will include a ban on the transfer of US weapons to the unit, as well as a ban on joint training and participation in US-funded activities.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken decided not to impose sanctions on other military and police units the administration was investigating after changes in their behavior were noticed. An administration official said the decision to impose sanctions against Netzach Yehuda was made based on a study conducted before October 7 on incidents in Judea and Samaria.

The decision follows a ProPublica report that recommended the State Department impose sanctions on several Israeli units over alleged rights violations, including Netzach Yehuda. However, a decision on sanctions has not yet been made.

Earlier, Cursor reported that the US House of Representatives passed a bill to help Israel. After the bill is passed by the US Congress, it will go to the Senate for consideration.
