‘US President Trump is better than Biden’; Israel Opinion Survey
New York: Opinion polls suggest former President Donald Trump is more popular and better ruler than US President Joe Biden.
Biden received less support than Trump in a poll in Israel. Of the 18 countries surveyed, Israel is the only country that supports Trump.
The Pew Research Center released its report on Wednesday.
The survey was conducted to examine the international position of the United States, NATO and Russia. The survey was conducted from February 14 to May 11.
In a poll conducted in Israel, only six out of ten Israelis supported Biden, which is 60 percent support. But in a similar poll conducted in 2019, 71 percent of people supported Trump.
At the same time, German Chancellor Olof Scholes and French President Emmanuel Macron received only 38 percent support in Israel. Compared to this, Biden has a better acceptance in Israel.
The poll comes just days before Biden’s first visit to Israel and Saudi Arabia since taking office as US president.
“Israeli attitudes toward American presidents have changed over the past two decades. However, the overall attitude towards the United States remains positive, “the survey report said.
In a 2014 poll, then-President Obama also received 71 percent support in Israel. At the same time, Obama holds the record for the lowest turnout in a poll. In a 2011 or 2015 poll, Obama received only 49 percent of Israeli support.
George W. Bush had the best performance ever on the survey. In a 2003 opinion poll in Israel, Bush was supported by 83 percent.
