US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken Rejects South Africa’s Genocide Charges Against Israel

Tel Aviv – During a press conference after meeting with Israeli leaders in Tel Aviv, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken refuted South Africa’s genocide charge against Israel, stating that it is “without merit”. However, Blinken expressed concern about the high number of Gazans dying every day from the ongoing conflict.

Blinken called for the Palestinians to return to their homes as soon as the situation improves and also endorsed a United Nations assessment program in Gaza. He also mentioned that the US has rejected plans to resettle Palestinians outside of Gaza and emphasized the need for the Palestinian government to reform itself.

The Secretary of State is on a visit to several Middle Eastern countries this week, where he has stated that many nations in the region are willing to invest in Gaza’s future, provided a clear path to a Palestinian state is established.

Blinken’s comments come amidst ongoing tensions and violence in the region, with the situation in Gaza remaining a focal point of international concern. The US continues to push for a peaceful resolution to the conflict and has pledged support for efforts to improve the lives of Palestinians in the region.
