Time.news – US Secretary of State Tony Blinken will see Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid in Rome on Sunday.
It is the first meeting between a representative of the new Israeli government and Joe Biden’s administration.
According to US administration officials, Lapid will fly specifically to Rome to meet Blinken. The United States has just concluded a sixth round of informal negotiations with Iran on the nuclear deal that Israel strongly opposes. Tehran claims Washington is ready to lift sanctions against the Islamic Republic.
