The Wall Street Journal said that the administration of US President Joe Biden will send more than $750 million worth of bombs to Saudi Arabia in the coming months.

According to the Wall Street Journal, “The shipments include 3,000 GBU-39s Small Diameter Bombs worth $290 million. These bombs will provide Saudi Arabia with 250-pound munitions that can be fired from a long distance to carry out precision attacks, including in urban areas.”

According to the newspaper, “Washington will also send 7,500 Paveway IV bombs, worth $468 million, which are munitions that use lasers or satellites to identify their targets.”

“Deliveries will likely begin within months,” US officials said, adding that the weapons would increase the Saudi air force’s ability to carry out precision airstrikes from its US-made fighter jets, and more could be sold to the kingdom in the coming years.

The United States of America announced that it “will resume the sale of offensive weapons to Saudi Arabia after a hiatus of more than three years.”
