Among the leading stocks in the index today, Salesforce (NYSE:) stood out, which added 2.83% or 7.92 points to its value, and its price was 287.86 at the close of trading. Meanwhile, Walt Disney (NYSE: ) added 2.23% or 2.13 points to trade at 97.49, while Visa (NYSE: ) added 2.13% or 5.72 points to trade at 273.66 in late trade.
The worst performers were Verizon Communications (NYSE: ), which decreased 0.83% or 0.35 points to trade at 42.05 at the end of the trading day. Walgreens Boots Alliance (NASDAQ: ) declined 0.57% or 0.13 points to 22.72 and Apple (NASDAQ: ) was down 0.36% or 0.69 points to 191.73.
The best performers today in the S&P 500 were Archer-Daniels-Midland (NYSE: ), which added 5.55% to 54.94, Carnival (NYSE: ), which gained 4.55% to close at 16.55, and Illumina ( NASDAQ:), which rose 4.33% and ended trading at a price of 146.72.
Among the weakest stocks today were Hewlett Packard (NYSE:), which fell by 2.53% and stood at 29.24 at the end of the trading day, International Piper (NYSE:), which lost 2.26% to 36.72 and Seagate Technologies (NASDAQ:), which weakened by 2.00% and closed the trading day on the stock exchange at a price of 88.63.
The best performers today in the Nasdaq index were recorded by Onemednet Corp (NASDAQ: ), which added 168.21% to its value at a price of 1.37, Palisades Bio (NASDAQ: ), which completed an increase of 83.21% and closed at a price of 0.96, and Fibro-G stock (NASDAQ: ), which rose 82.71% and ended trading at a price of 1.71.
