It will save taxpayers $6 billion (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) – Milan, 15 August – US President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris have announced, in a joint statement, a ‘historic’ drop in the price of ten drugs for the elderly.
According to the White House, this agreement, the result of unprecedented negotiations between the federal health insurance system for seniors and the laboratories, will save affected insured persons $1.5 billion and taxpayers $6 billion.
