Kamala Harris, US Vice President, laughs at a question about Afghanistan. The controversy breaks out on the web
As the world looks at the situation in Afghanistan with apprehension, thinking of the thousands of exiles seeking an escape from the threats and terror brought by the Taliban, Kamala Harris seems more amused than worried about it. At least that’s the impression given by the vice president of the United States during a diplomatic trip to Singapore to meet with Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.
Kamala Harris in fact presented herself in front of the cameras with a toothy smile and not even a question about Afghanistan was able to stop her laughter. “Wait, wait, slow down,” Joe Biden’s right-hand man exclaimed to reporters who were quite astonished by this reaction. The video of Kamala Harris laughing about Afghanistan went viral and caused a lot of indignation on social networks. “It’s like a Saturday Night Live sketch. Too bad it’s real, and she’s not a comedian. It’s no laughing matter,” one Twitter user commented.
This isn’t the first time the US vice president has embarrassed his administration. In recent days Kamala Harris had in fact advised migrants not to go to the United States as they would be rejected.
