Medals Galore at the French Olympics
The American athletes continued their dominant performance at the Paris Olympics, securing three more gold medals on Wednesday and now boasting a staggering 27 gold, 35 silver, and 32 bronze medals.
Runners-up China added three more Olympic titles to their tally, bringing their medal count to 25 gold, 23 silver, and 17 bronze.
Australia sits in third place with 18 gold, 12 silver, and 11 bronze medals, while the host nation, France, has 13 gold, 17 silver, and 21 bronze medals.
Great Britain occupies fifth position with 12 gold, 17 silver, and 20 bronze medals, while South Korea completes the top six with 12 gold, eight silver, and seven bronze medals.
The United States has amassed the most medals overall with 94, followed by China with 65, France with 51, and Great Britain with 49.
While representatives from 80 countries have earned at least one medal, the Baltic countries have had limited success, with only Lithuania securing one silver and two bronze medals.
The Olympic Games will continue in the French capital until August 11, with events also taking place in 16 other locations. The extensive program features 32 sports and will award 329 sets of medals.
