by time news

The victims of Hurricane Helene have risen to at least 155 in six American states. The authorities report this, warning that the toll is destined to increase. At the moment the hurricane is the second most devastating of the last 50 years, behind Katrina in 2015 (1,833 victims).

Today Joe Biden will visit North and South Carolina, while his deputy Kamala Harris, Democratic presidential candidate, will stop in Georgia, where Donald Trump already landed on Monday. North Carolina and Georgia are two of the states most affected by Helene, but they are also two crucial swing states in the November elections.
