Kaznacheev, who lived in Berlin, was detained in accordance with an arrest warrant dated December 9, 2019 issued by a court in one of the districts of the American state of Maryland, after which he appeared at a hearing before a district court in the capital of Germany “on the basis of the law on international legal assistance in criminal cases.” … As specified on the performer’s Facebook page, the reason for the arrest was a request from the “US Department of Justice seeking his extradition to the United States on charges of money laundering and activities on the dark web.”

The Russian categorically denies his guilt. He stated that one of his acquaintances could have used his personal data. Deniz Gluk pointed to the possible “theft of personal data”, because in 2019, while in Vietnam, Kaznacheev lost his passport.

In July 2020, a court in Berlin approved the release of Kaznacheev on bail of 20 thousand euros for the duration of the preliminary investigation. At the end of November 2021, the Berlin Court of Appeal ruled to extradite Treasuryev to the United States.
