The Ministry of Public Health (MSP) continues to make payments in a planned manner to the 109 dialyzers that provide external services in the country.

From June 2021 to May 2023, this State portfolio has canceled USD 309.8 million. Only from January to May of this year, USD 41 million was paid and USD 57 million more are in the transfer process, as the allocations from the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) are received.

In the second half of 2021, the MSP canceled USD 71.4 million. In 2022, it paid USD 168.1 million corresponding to the debt carried over from years prior to 2021 and new services generated that year.

Access to care is guaranteed to more than 19,000 patients receiving renal replacement therapy (hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis) nationwide both in the health establishments of this State portfolio and of external providers.

For the National Government, the cancellation of outstanding values to the dialyzers is a priority. The MSP prioritizes the payment of dialyzers and allocates resources in proportion to the amount and age of the debt. Payment processes are carried out in a planned manner, prior to an audit process and based on the budget allocation made by the MEF. Currently, benefits for $27 million are in the audit process.

The MSP ratifies its commitment to guarantee health care to all patients who require prioritized care and thus bring services closer to the public.
