The gym chain Smart Fit was involved in a new controversy after the complaint of a user after having been recorded without your consent in a dressing room from one of its branches in XalapaVeracruz.
Through the social network X, a young man accused that a user of the Smart Fit branch located in The Toy Squarein Xalapa, Veracruz, recorded a video of him while he was naked in the gym locker room.
He pointed out that after being recorded without his permission, the video was uploaded to the social network X.

In his complaint on social networks, the user asked for support from Smart Fit to identify the subject who recorded him naked without his consent for later spread the video.
“Smart Fit requests your support to find the person responsible and take action on the matter,” requested the affected user.
The victim reported that on December 28, 2024, he received a message with a screenshot in which he appeared half-naked in the gym locker room.
Given the uncertainty and after investigating social networks, he identified the profile from which the video in which he appears was published; This is a private account with the user @Bareckboy_1384.

The next morning, the young man gained access to the content of the account and discovered the video in which not only he appears, but also other users of the same gym in their underwear or undressing.
“The account has not only uploaded images and videos of me, but also of many other male users, whether training or in the locker room,” he indicated.
He said the same account has similar content from other men recorded without their authorization in the locker room area and during their training sessions.
By exposing the subject’s accounts on Instagram, TikTok, X and Facebook, the affected user requested the support of Smart Fit to proceed legally against it, in addition to guaranteeing the security and privacy of users in all its branches.
“It is outrageous and disappointing that things like this happen in a prestigious gym chain like Smart Fit, now with what confidence am I going to change or train? I’m even thinking about unsubscribing,” he added.
