Users of the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, who initially praised the anti-glare coating on the display, are complaining about it peeling a year later.
As Day.Az reports, this was reported by the GizmoChina portal.
User complaints indicate that the anti-glare coating that keeps the screen clear and free from glare is wearing out much faster than expected. Thus, a user of the social network X (formerly Twitter) with the nickname xeetechcare shared a photo of the device, which shows peeling along the right edge of the screen and stains across the entire surface of the display. Moreover, according to the user, the device was not exposed to external factors, such as keys or coins in the pocket.
Experts say the coating may be too fragile to withstand regular use. This may explain why many users are facing this problem soon after purchasing the device.
Samsung has not yet commented on the situation. User reports about problems with the oleophobic coating were noticed on the Samsung Community website, but the company did not cover this defect with a warranty, citing normal wear and tear.
