Users from Russia have complained about App Store crashes, according to data from Downdetector.

In particular, 61% of users who are experiencing problems reported difficulties with downloading applications, another 30% – with downloading updates, and 9% – with authorization in the app store. According to Downdetector, users from Moscow register the most crashes.

The App Store website says that the crash occurred today from 11.00 to 17.10 Moscow time.

“Some users were affected. It is possible that users have encountered a problem while working with this service, ”the message says.

According to vc.ru, users could not download and update applications through the networks of some operators. We are talking about Rostelecom, Megafon, as well as MTS and Yota. According to the publication, the applications could only be downloaded via VPN.

On September 10, the Kommersant newspaper reported that Roskomnadzor sent letters to state-owned companies asking about the use of foreign Internet encryption protocols that hide the names of the site, before testing them blocking. To keep the networks working during the test, the department advised to switch to the National Domain Name System or connect to the DNS services of Russian telecom operators, the newspaper noted.
