Ushery’s victory went from a fat boy to the ninja track

by time news

Last night the television show “Ninja Israel” was broadcast and we all crossed our fingers for the approval of our destructive plumber faction from Kiryat Motzkin that we have been accompanying for many years at the stations of his life and are proud of his great change. Although he lost in a duel, he won big with the fact that a fat woman became a ninja

We spoke in an old interview we did with him in which he talks about the big change

In recent years, since he was released from the army, Oshri Pelag has been working as a plumber in the family company “Rafi Pelag and Sons Flowing in the Pipe”.

What did you do in the army and why were you discharged so late?
“I was a prison instructor in prison 6 and then a police officer in prison 4. I was released at the age of 22, because I enlisted late and also because I was a permanent member for a year. At the age of 23 I started working in the family business, but in fact I have been in the business since a very young age. I always helped dad at work. When I wanted to go to Eilat with my friends, I would work, earn the money and travel.”

And that was the first thing you wanted to do after the army?
“No. I wanted to make music. In fact, I made music from the age of 12. My parents were very supportive and helped me. Dad would buy me equipment and sit and listen to my compositions. It really attracted me. I started as a rapper, and over time I also started to show interest in music production, playing more , to create the basis of the song, just create. In school they actually liked it a lot. I was an oddball, because in the 2000s the rappers would dress in big, baggy clothes.”

Even when he was released from the army, Peleg continued to practice music, working and studying at the “Marshmello” recording studio – the music college in Haifa. He says: “At graduation, me and two friends produced the first song and put it out there. We were happy that our things started to catch on with the audience. When it started to be successful, I got a little stressed and got a kind of knee-jerk reaction. This was probably the sign that I needed to stop and relax.”

Then the unexpected happened. Peleg: “On Independence Day three and a half years ago, around my father’s birthday, I woke up with half a crooked face (according to Michal Ansky). This is called ‘facialis’ (facial nerve palsy). The hearing is impaired, there are letters that are difficult to pronounce, half of the face is normal and the other half is paralyzed. The recovery was very difficult and long, but it also allowed me to understand many things about myself. At the age of 26 I was still living with my parents, the financial situation was up in the air, because I didn’t know how I was going to close the month, I was at a crossroads. That’s when my eyes were opened, I went back to work in the family business and I’ve been there full time ever since.”

This is not the only change that Fleg has made in his life. From a “chubby” guy he became a shapely man. “I’ve always been chubby,” he says, “in the last two years, precisely because of the fasciitis, which made me depressed, it happened. We went with the family to Crete, there, in Crete, I set a goal for myself that I had to lose weight. Everyone there, boys and girls, were shirtless Only I was ashamed to take off my shirt. When we returned to Israel, I decided that I was making a change. The first thing I did was to stop smoking, and I told myself that if I stopped smoking, everything else was easy. Instead of thinking about cigarettes, I did push-ups at home. I signed up for a gym in Kiryat Motzkin, and just I became addicted to it. In two months, I dropped from 96 kg to 80 kg.”

But Peleg was not satisfied with that. He says: “I was exposed to a post on Facebook by nutritionist Bat El Ackerman. I reached out to her, and I’m not the same person since I met her. My eating habits just disappeared, the pounds fell off, my life changed. I see my squares and find it hard to believe.”

How do you define yourself today?
“I’m still searching for myself. I don’t know how to define myself. I’m the same person, only better and happier.”

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
“With God’s help, with two children, working hard as a plumber and enjoying the fruits.”
