Usilampatti Director Robbery Update: National Award Medals Returned with Apology Letter

Usilampatti: The robbers who stole jewelery and money from director Manikandan’s house a few days ago have returned only the two silver medals of the National Award along with a letter of apology.

Manikandan, the director of movies like ‘Kakka Talbi, Ulasha Kiyada’, lives in Usilampatti Eghil Nagar, Madurai District. He has received two national awards so far. Since Mani Kandan lives in Chennai with his family, he used to visit Usilambatti house only occasionally.

After this, the mysterious persons who came to know that Manikandan’s house was locked, broke the door of his house on the night of 8th and entered and stole Rs. 1 lakh and 5 pounds of jewelery from the bureau. They also took away his two National Award medals. The Usilampatti police have registered a case and are investigating the robbery incident.

In this situation, the mysterious gang who looted money, jewelery and silver medals from director Manikandan’s house left only the silver medals of the National Award in a polythene bag at Manikandan’s door. They also left a letter. In it, they have written that, sir, forgive us and your work is yours.

The police came to Manikandan’s house after getting the information and seized the National Award medals and the letter and are investigating.
