UTICA, NY – One person is dead and a Utica man is facing multiple charges following a stabbing incident in Utica.
Utica police were called to the scene on Monday evening where they found a victim with multiple stab wounds. The victim was rushed to a local hospital where they later succumbed to their injuries.
The suspect, identified as a 32-year-old Utica man, was taken into custody at the scene. He is facing charges of second-degree murder, first-degree assault, and criminal possession of a weapon.
Authorities have not released the identity of the victim or the suspect at this time.
The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Utica Police Department.
