UV announces 5 new specialties in response to forensic crisis

The Veracruz University (UV) announced yesterday the creation of five new specialties that will address the problem of disappearance of persons and the human identification.

At a press conference, the rector Martin Aguilar Sanchez announced that today the call with the requirements to enter the educational programs will be officially published. will begin activities in February 2025.

“There is a commitment to the victims and their families, through interdisciplinary work and social commitment that puts education at the forefront service of human rights; these are very important elements that also constitute the content of these specialties,” he said.

The five specialties They are: Human Identification Management, Forensic Archaeology, Psychosocial Perspective in Care for Victims of Missing Persons, Forensic Odontology for Human Identification Purposes and Forensic Physical Anthropology.

The specializations will last two semesters and will be based on a human rights approach.
