The United Wagon Company (UWC) plans to increase the volume of deliveries of freight cars to Europe by 25% in 2022, CEO of the company Timofey Khryapov told reporters during the international railway forum PRO // Dvizhenie.Expo.

According to him, next year UWC is going to increase the volume of supplies to Europe “at least to 500, then to 1000”. The planned volume for this year is 400 wagons. He recalled that now the company is also fulfilling a contract for the supply of 800 gondola cars to Mongolia.

In 2020, UWC built 16,600 freight cars, which is 20% less than in 2019. In 2021, UWC plans to produce about 16,000 units, in 2022 – 19,000-19,500. The company’s revenue in 2020 increased by 23.5% to 79.6 billion rubles, the net loss amounted to 22 billion rubles.
