In 2019, Uxue Alberdi’s essay ‘From the throat of the opposite’ was presented in the Lisipe collection of the Susa publishing house, and now it will also be available in Catalan thanks to the publishing house Pol·len edicions (El Tinter SAL). Alberdi started the essay from a basic question – what has being a woman affected you? – and then he gave the floor to fifteen bertsola singers to identify the “patterns that limit the performance of women bertsola singers”.

Specifically, Amaia Agirre, Ainhoa Agirreazaldegi, Maialen Akizu, Miren Amuriza, Maider Arregi, Miren Artetxe, Maddalen Arzallus, Oihana Bartra, Onintza Enbeita, Nerea Ibarzabal, Oihana Iguaran, Ane Labaka, Alaia Martin, Eli Pagola and Jone Uria were the members of the “coral project » part Composers of different generations and decades – the oldest born in 1977; 1996 the youngest – to form a “significant sample”.

Now, the publishing house Pol·len edicions (El Tinter SAL) has translated it into Catalan, as announced on social networks.

In addition to the essay ‘Against the throat’, Alberdin has published several novels. The first one, ‘Aulki bat elurretan’ (Elkar), was released in 2007 and they arrived later. ‘Game of chairs’ (2009) and ‘Euli-giro’ (2013). The fourth was ‘Jenisjoplin’, which was named the favorite book of 2018 by the members of the 111 Academy, and, for now, the last, ‘Dendaostekoak’.

In addition, in 2021, Alberdi presented the illustrated book ‘Hili’, a work that aimed to help when talking about death with the little ones at home, although the contribution goes further and is also useful for adults.
