The GGD IJsselland has the task of helping to contain the corona virus and thus keep society going. In addition to testing and vaccination, the GGD conducts source and contact research for this purpose. By finding out the source of the COVID infection, adequate advice can be given to the source and the immediate environment. This prevents further spread of the virus.

As a ‘doctor Covid’ you are part of the Covid Medical Team. From there, you coordinate the Source and Contact Investigation team and provide them with substantive medical advice.

What are you going to do?

  • You manage the content and content research team, which answer questions from residents and organizations.
  • You are the first point of contact for questions from the team that conducts Source & Contact Research in case of reports and outbreaks. This concerns medically substantive questions about, for example, medication or the interpretation of laboratory results.
  • You are also available for general questions that come in by telephone. You can fall back on a physician supervisor. There are short lines.
  • You check case histories for medical content.
  • You participate in consultations with internal and external parties.
  • You contribute to the quality of service and to the promotion of expertise of the teams.
  • You support in the collection and analysis of Covid-19 data (surveillance).

Who are you?

  • You are a medical doctor (BIG-registered), retired doctor or about to graduate as a medical doctor.
  • You are interested in public health.
  • You can think analytically and you are able to independently and carefully arrive at a judgment or advice.
  • You have strong communication skills and you can function well both independently and in a team.
  • You are available for at least 24 hours a week until April 1, 2023, with the intention of extending this (depending on developments and financial possibilities).
  • You are stress resistant and flexible to deploy, even on weekends and outside office hours.

What do we offer?

  • We offer you a varied job, in which you are given room for your own initiative and input. You are part of a team that consists of enthusiastic colleagues with great ambitions in the field of public health.
  • A temporary assignment until April 1, 2023, with the intention to extend this employment upon mutual satisfaction, depending on (organizational) developments and available finances.
  • Depending on education and experience, your salary is determined in functional scale 11 according to (minimum € 3,701,- and maximum € 5,372,- gross per month for 36 hours of work).
  • Spending scope in leave and allowances based on an individual budget of 17.05%, in addition to your salary.
  • The possibility of hybrid work.
