Chennai: Minister Ma Subramanian has said that steps have been taken to conduct a vaccination camp in Tamil Nadu only once a week.

Vaccination of the public is in full swing on behalf of the Government of Tamil Nadu as a corona prevention measure. So far 11 mega vaccination camps have been conducted across the state and millions have been vaccinated.

In this situation, the vaccination camp will be held only once a week in Tamil Nadu, said the Minister of People’s Welfare Ma Subramanian. He was speaking to reporters at the DMS premises in Chennai.

Despite heavy rains in 18 districts in Tamil Nadu, 12 lakh people were vaccinated. So far 77.02 per cent have been vaccinated with the first installment and 41.60 per cent with the second vaccination. The number of people receiving the 2nd installment of the vaccine continues to rise. So they should be vaccinated immediately without delay.

Immunity has increased by more than 80 per cent in 15 districts. In other districts more than 60 percent of the resistance has developed. 7 districts including Vellore, Tirupati, Ranipettai and Mayiladuthurai have the lowest number of vaccinators. After the 12th mega vaccination camp next Sunday, vaccination will only take place daily from 9am to 5pm. In addition, steps have been taken to conduct a vaccination camp once a week. Thus he said.
