(ANSA) – TRIESTE, SEPTEMBER 18 – The vaccination campaign in Fvg will begin on October 14, two days earlier than last year. This is reported by the newspapers of the Nem Group that today published an extensive article on the subject, specifying that up to 248 thousand doses are arriving and that the vaccine is recommended and guaranteed free of charge to people aged 60 and over and to frail subjects.
At the same time, people will also be able to get vaccinated against Covid, a recommended choice for older age groups and for those with health problems.
Vaccinations will be free for people aged 60 and over, children between 6 months and 6 years; subjects suffering from chronic diseases of the respiratory system and the cardiovascular system and other pathologies.
Vaccines are administered by your general practitioner and pediatrician of free choice, in some pharmacies and by the vaccination services of the Health Authorities. As per national guidelines, for all target groups the aim is to have coverage of 75% to 95%, a percentage considered optimal. A year ago, Il Piccolo and Messaggero Veneto report, as in the past, we remained well below this threshold: 55.7% among the over 65s (against 58.1% in 2022/23), 17.7% among healthcare personnel (19.2% in 2022/23).
Adherence is also low among those aged 60-64 (22%) and under 6 (12%). In Fvg the tender for the supply of vaccines, says the regional health councilor Riccardo Riccardi, «has already been completed. The inactivated trivalent vaccines with adjuvant, the inactivated quadrivalent, the inactivated quadrivalent produced on cell cultures and the live attenuated trivalent will be available». (ANSA).
