Vaccini, Decaro (Anci): “Priority to the mayors? No thanks, we will wait for our turn. Protect exposed and fragile workers”

The mayor of Bari and president of Anci Antonio Decaro sent back to the sender the proposal of some politicians, who had asked to give priority to local administrators (and senators and deputies) in the administration of vaccines anti Covid. “Some parliamentarians, with an agenda approved by the Camera, ask to include the mayors among the categories admitted as a priority to vaccination as local health authorities – wrote Decaro in a note – We thank them, but there are many categories of exposed and fragile workers, who should be vaccinated before us. We mayors will wait our turn ”. The position taken by the mayor of capital of Puglia, as mentioned, came after the agenda approved today at Camera gods deputies which “commits the Government to evaluate the opportunity to include mayors, as local health authorities, among the categories admitted as a priority to vaccination against Sars-CoV-2 / Covid-19 from the new vaccination plan “.

As for the priority of vaccination for parliamentarians, however, the front is not as compact as that of the mayors. “I’m waiting for my turn, I’m in no hurry,” said the leader of the League Matteo Salvini.
