Santhanam, who makes a living by making pots and pans in the village, builds a temple on his land to earn money by deceiving the people’s belief in God. He begins to live comfortably on the offering that comes in it.

A greedy Tahsildar comes to the town and asks for a share of the guide to increase the income of the temple. When Santhanam refuses to agree, he conspires and closes the temple. The rest of the story is Santhanam trying to reopen the temple and whether it happened.

Santhanam is amazing in his new look and acting with long hair and beard. He has given the timing comedy that fans expect from him without missing a beat. Spreading the disease in Madras, capitalizing on the innocence of the village dignitaries, defeating the government official with his wits, Ekri hits his spots throughout the film.

Megha Akash, the heroine, looks like an actress of that era and is mesmerizing in a stunning getup. Sabash does the villainy silently with his Tamil image and vision as a government official. Both Ravi Maria and John Vijay, who come as laughing villains, are hilarious.

Shadows Ravi, Maran, Seshu, Nan God Rajendran, IT Arasan, Kool Suresh make the theater shake with laughter. The contribution of MS Bhaskar and Jacqueline is also good.

Cinematographer Deepak has shown beautiful places like mountains, ponds, water levels, beautiful villages with his camera angle. Composer Shaun Roldan’s hard work shines through in the song and background score.

Director Karthik Yogi has succeeded in trying to make the story of Khatula Poo Sutthura a hundred percent comedy. The screenplay moves at lightning speed in the first half and brakes are weak in the second half. ‘Vadakupatti Ramasamy’ is sure to make moviegoers enjoy the film without looking at logic.
