Vaishnavi from Pune is saving seeds, has created a seed bank at home

by time news

Every seed has the right to become a plant and we should give it the right to become a tree. With this thought towards the environment, this housewife from Pune has made her house a seed bank and is distributing seeds of indigenous trees to people for free. She has donated more than 50 lakh seeds so far. She has distributed seeds to everyone from common people to the forest department.
Today these seeds are being sent from him to many organizations and nature lovers across the country.
Actually, this work started because of her love for nature. Vaishnavi Patil, who grew up in a village, planted the first tree of her life in school
And since then she developed a special love for nature. When the daughter of a farmer’s family came to live in a city like Pune, she missed the native trees and plants here. In such a situation, she started growing trees in collaboration with NGOs related to environment. Initially, she started working by joining many NGOs. When those organizations needed seeds of native trees, Vaishnavi provided them with seeds of rare native trees.
She started collecting seeds of trees from the Western Ghats and fruits that were going waste in the market and started giving them to these organizations. Over time, collecting seeds and delivering them to different organizations became Vaishnavi’s work, which she is carrying forward today under her own organization ‘Aarambh Foundation’.

In the last three years, many nature lovers have joined her organization. Apart from distributing seeds to people for free, she has also distributed 4000 saplings so far and is also protecting 7000 large shady trees by planting them.

If you also want to take seeds from them or send rare seeds to them then you can contact Aarambh Foundation on social media.
