The 36th National Games are being held in 6 cities of Gujarat. Haryana defeated Tamil Nadu 3-0 in the quarter-final match held at Rajkot on Saturday. The forward players of Tamil Nadu team wasted their excellent scoring opportunities. Only Tamil Nadu goalkeeper Dhinakaran Venkatachalapathy stopped Haryana’s scoring chances. Haryana captain Bharat converted a penalty corner in the 9th minute by defender Mandeep Kaur. The lead was 2-0. Haryana’s Abhishek scored the winning goal in the 50th minute of the second half.

Vaishnavi of Tamil Nadu won the gold with 134.22 points, Panzilal of Maharashtra won the silver and Purwar Kinare the bronze in the yogasanam artistic category.
