BRESSANONE. Late yesterday afternoon, in Bressanone, the Agents of the Capturing Section of the Flying Squad of Bolzano, with colleagues from the Bressanone Public Security Police Station, identified and arrested, in execution of the detention order issued by the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Lucca, for L. R. – these are the initials, a 40 year old citizen of the Czech Republicdefinitively sentenced to 3 years in prison for a long series of aggravated thefts. The man, who had been on the run for over 3 years, was identified and stopped by the police inside a resort in the Isarco Valley, a hotel where he had been staying for a very short time.
At the end of the necessary investigations, LR was escorted by the Agents to the Bolzano prison, where he will have to serve the sentence “to be paid”. “The search and arrest of fugitives, on the one hand, guarantees that the sentences issued by the Judicial Authority are effectively executed and, on the other, makes it possible to prevent subjects whose social danger has been proclaimed, with their own responsibility criminal records that are often particularly serious, continue to remain undisturbed in the area to commit crimes”, highlighted the Police Commissioner Paolo Sartori“For these reasons, these investigative and operational activities also represent one of the priorities in the action of the State Police and Law Enforcement in general.”
