Valence Semiconductor (NYSE: VLN), a developer of high-performance interconnects, unveiled the VA700R series, which offers high bandwidth and connection distance for long-distance vehicle sensor connections. Enabling 4 gigabit per second transfer at distances of up to 40 meters, while providing power and bidirectional control through the cable, the VA700R provides the connection infrastructure on which innovative vision solutions for truck drivers can be designed.
The VA700R series – which includes the VA7021R buffer circuit and the VA7004R buffer circuit – offers an unimaginable combination of bandwidth and connection distances for applications such as surround view and rear view for medium and long vehicles. The SerDes will support high resolutions, including up to 8MP (4K) cameras running at 30 frames per second. It is also pixel accurate, making it suitable for ADAS applications.
