Long reserve service since the fighting began, brought chef Oren Assido from the OLÉ restaurant to the sad decision to close his restaurant. After announcing the difficult decision he made, he was surrounded and hugged by his regular diners, friends, and colleagues in the kitchen, one of whom is Chef Eliad Danon (Onza Restaurant), an old friend of Asido’s since the days of Meir Adoni’s “Hamazella”, where they cooked together.
Now, after Assido’s return from Gaza, the two are taking advantage of the break in favor of a culinary summit meeting at the Onza restaurant in the flea market, where the two will cook shoulder to shoulder for two joint evenings that will take place on Monday and Tuesday, February 12-13. “We started the journey together, and since then we have made sure to stay close and have always accompanied each other. In our careers and in our personal lives, real friends,” says Assido, “I am excited to finally see Eliad at the front and think that together we can put together an evening that is most appropriate for the situation and now, for the audience And for us too.”

The menu that will connect the cuisines and styles of the two, will be based on the Moroccan cuisine they grew up on, along with the professional stations that the two cooks went through during their careers. Among the dishes that will be served on both evenings: plump pastrami from Palamida, stuffed shishbarak dumplings with labneh and chershi butter on the side, fresh Little Jam lettuce with blush vinaigrette and parmesan, and also lamb in brown butter sauce. And in the appetizers section – a Jerusalem bagel with dua jam and olives, pan-roasted jibna with leek jam, fatha with yogurt, refined butter and dry mint, Greek-Jaffaian skordalia and also raw fish such as leche de tigra sashimi, or white fish tartare with burnt zucchini , yellow tomato vinaigrette and Crispy Freaky. Also on the list: a bowl of mussels in béarnaise sauce, shrimp in Orfa butter, sea bass in white butter sauce, fennel and Persian lemon, and also a skewer of butcher’s cut with hot sauce.

Accordingly, all the fish dishes in the package were created with Japanese inspiration both in appearance and unique flavors. The list includes sea bread with herbs, nori seaweed butter; Bluefin tuna sashimi in ponzu, homemade citrus ponzu, nori seaweed, chili, furikake and olive oil; Lima ceviche – Toki, Japanese hamachi, “Gilli” corn, shushka peppers, purple onion and tiger milk; Salmon suman and toro salad, kizami nori, toasted sesame, sesame oil, wasabi, cucumbers, togarashi and scallions – all ready to eat and require simple grilling or mixing in a bowl. On the side, as mentioned, a bottle of limited edition whiskey, 2 glasses, and for dessert – a small nori chocolate box from the esteemed chocolatier Ika.

The price of the package is 700 shekels and it can be ordered on the butcher website or on the Walt app, until Tuesday, February 13 at 12:00, for the central area and Hadera, when the distribution will be made on February 14, Valentine’s Day, since it is a fresh package that contains sensitive raw materials.

Carb for Valentine’s Day | Domino’s pink heart pizza
On the occasion of Valentine’s Day, Domino’s maintains the annual tradition and launches a limited edition of heart-shaped family pizza, this time with pink dough. The Hordarda Heart Pizza comes in a special box designed for Valentine’s Day, and completely steals the show. The reddish blush of the dough is achieved through the use of natural beetroot extract, which does not affect its taste, and you can order any side dish you like, including a carnivorous version with a lot of sausages.
