CHENNAI: Chennai ICF Bill, Railway Board Chairman VK Tripathi today inspects the construction of the fifth new ‘Vande Bharat’ train to run between Chennai – Mysore.

Vande Bharat trains manufactured at Chennai ICF have been well received by the passengers. Vande Bharat trains are showing interest in railway zones.

The Railway Board gave its approval late last month to run a Vande Bharat train on the Southern Railway. Accordingly, production of the fifth Vande Bharat train is going on in full swing at the ICF plant.

Railway Board Chairman VK Tripathi, ICF, Bill is inspecting this preparation work today.

Vande Bharat train service between Chennai Central – Bengaluru – Mysuru, Karnataka is scheduled to start on November 10. The inaugural ceremony is held in Mysore.

Meanwhile, Southern Railway Technical Officers are carrying out various phases of inspection work in order to run the Vande Bharat train on the Chennai-Arakkonam, Jollarpet track. The train is scheduled to run six days a week.
