Vanessa Gamboa has been appointed as the new General Manager of SAP Peru, replacing Jose del Rio, who is leaving the company after 9 years of having played an outstanding role in the growth of the subsidiary to undertake personal projects.
Previously, Gamboa held the position of Director of New Customer Sales for Midmarket South Region. From this role, she was responsible for leading the expansion initiatives and adoption of solutions to accelerate digital transformation in medium-sized companies. She had joined SAP in 2015 as a Senior Executive. In 2018 she was appointed Sales Manager of SAP Peru. In total, she has more than two decades of experience in the technology industry.
“Throughout these years in the company, Vanessa has always assumed with responsibility and enthusiasm the challenges of the market both in Peru and in the region, which gives us the certainty that her management as General Manager will be up to the task of their background”, highlighted Claudia Boeri President of SAP South Region.
In his new role, Gamboa’s main challenges will be to drive the growth of the local subsidiary, identify development opportunities for new and current market niches, and lead a team with the best organizational culture practices.
The executive is a Computer Engineer from the San Ignacio de Loyola University, has a postgraduate specialization in Marketing and Sales from the School of Management of the University of Piura and is currently doing a Master’s in Business Management at Middlesex University London.
