Vanilla Ice Performs at Mar-a-Lago, Dances with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle
On New Year’s Eve, former President Trump hosted a party at Mar-a-Lago, and one of the highlights of the night was Vanilla Ice’s performance. The ’90s rapper, whose real name is Rob Van Winkle, took the stage to perform for the crowd who were celebrating the start of 2024.
In a video posted on Twitter, Vanilla Ice could be seen performing on stage while a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle, likely Michelangelo, danced alongside him. Former President Trump watched the performance from the back of the room while people danced and took videos of the memorable moment.
Vanilla Ice, known for his hit song “Ice Ice Baby” and appearances in the “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” live-action films, gained international fame in the 1990s for his music and acting career.
But it’s not just Vanilla Ice who made headlines at the New Year’s Eve bash. Rock band Green Day also caught attention by changing the lyrics of their 2004 hit “American Idiot” during their performance on ABC’s “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve.” Instead of the original lyrics, the band sang “I’m not part of the MAGA agenda,” a move that drew both praise and criticism from different camp.
In addition to the performances, former President Trump spoke to the crowd, addressing the upcoming 2024 election and offering insights into his family’s New Year’s Eve celebrations. Trump’s children were in attendance, except for one who had gone skiing for the holiday.
