The rivalry between rapper Vanilla Ice and country star Miranda Lambert has heated up as Vanilla Ice slammed Lambert for her recent actions during a concert, reported People on Saturday.

During his “I Love the 90s” concert in Atlantic City on Friday, Vanilla Ice, also known as Robert Matthew Van Winkle, took a dig at Lambert by telling his fans, “You can take all the selfies you want! This ain’t no Miranda Lambert concert.”

The shade didn’t stop there, as Van Winkle announced to attendees that he would be coming into the crowd to take more pictures with fans, quipping, “Turn it around like Miranda hates.”

This feud comes days after Lambert faced online criticism for calling out fans who were taking a selfie during one of her emotional songs. A viral TikTok video captured Lambert pausing the show to express her frustration, saying, “It’s pissing me off a little bit. Sorry, I don’t like it. At all. We’re here to hear some country music tonight. I’m singing some country damn music.”

The incident prompted several fans to leave the concert in protest. One concertgoer, Adela Calin, described being publicly scolded by Lambert as feeling like being back in school with a teacher reprimanding her. Calin explained, “I feel like she was determined to make us look like we were young, immature and vain. But we were just grown women in our 30s to 60s trying to take a picture.”

According to Calin, the selfie took less than a minute, and the group had tried to take a photo before the show but was unsuccessful.

As the feud continues to escalate, other celebrities have come forward to criticize Lambert. LL Cool J, in an appearance on the “Mercedes in the Morning” podcast, urged Lambert to let fans enjoy her art in their own way. “Your job as an artist is to create art. The way people choose to interact with that art or engage in it and appreciate it is up to them,” LL Cool J said. He added, “You got to let the fans do what they want to do.”

What will be the next move in this feud between Vanilla Ice and Miranda Lambert? Only time will tell.
