Edappadi Palanisamy has alleged that the 10.5 per cent reservation for the Vanni was canceled due to the DMK not submitting proper data to the court.
He told reporters in the Salem district headquarter, “The increase in property taxes has put a heavy burden on the people who are stranded and losing their livelihoods due to the Corona disaster. The reservation has been canceled due to the DMK not arguing properly in court on the reservation issue for Vanniyar and not submitting proper data to the court. The late Chief Minister Jayalalithaa started secession as a land grab.
With the DMK coming to power, land grabbing has started again. Murder, robbery and sexual violence have increased in Tamil Nadu. In particular, he accused the school of selling drugs, including cannabis, near the college, despite the DGP order to curb the circulation of cannabis.
Responding to this, DMK treasurer Duraimurugan said, “The 10.5 per cent internal reservation given to the Vanni was hastily decided by the High Court and the Supreme Court. The Vanniyar reservation law was repealed due to the failure of the current opposition leader Palanisamy’s government to provide proper data to the court. I strongly condemn the impeachment of the DMK. ”
